UN Development Cooperation Forum (DCF)

In 2006 the United Nations created a new global forum to promote multi-stakeholder dialogue to enhance progress on aid commitments to fund the Millennium Development Goals, the UN Development Cooperation Forum (DCF). DFI has been providing key technical advice and inputs to the DCF since its inception, playing the role of senior technical advisor to the Forum.

DFI’s inputs to the work of the DCF have included drafting the UN Secretary General’s Report for the July 2008 Forum and the conclusions of the Forum, the preparation of a Background study on South-South and triangular development cooperation, and the drafting of the 2010 DCF strategy. DFI is currently preparing studies for the 2010 Forum on mutual accountability and transparency, and on South-South development cooperation.
